The Environmental Education Programme (EEP)

The Environmental Education Programme caters to a step-by-step familiarisation with nature and our environment, led by trained nature education personnel and assisted by various specialists and scientific resource persons. It is specially tailored to particular group ages and experience, therefore is only possible through pre-planned approaches. It is preferable that organizers and teachers-in-charge first contact us to discuss the group's background and the kind of activities sought. A number of the programmes are conducted as joint-activities between the Malaysian Nature Society and the University of Malaya, but other linkages are also possible.

    Rimba Ilmu Nature Art Week 2000 and Exhibition, opened by University Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Ir Dr Mashkuri Hj Yaacob (left), was a resounding success, attracting support from many well-known Malaysian artists sharing their feelings and ideas about the environment through a big range of art media. The week-long event was coordinated by Rimba Ilmu volunteer Teresa Wong.
